Nicholson's solo work has always revolved around mystery and those who try to solve it's mysteries.
Since spearheading late nineties industrial combo Genuine Cane, Nicholson has reanimated his enthusiasm for all things south of heaven some 27 years later as Dark Matters.
"Spiritually I have been away yes." explains Nicholson. "Physically, pouring into other projects not of my making but somehow always aware of an energy that runs undercurrent to everything I do. This project is giving me a chance to explore this fully and whether or not its inherent to my process or I'm hacking into an unseen force -
that's the main theme for Dark Matters... its invisible, unique and heavy but impossibly discrete. We know its there but can't explain what it is. Perhaps we can offer an explanation by painting a picture however obscure and deeply personal our interpretation may be. I guess we will all know somehow right?"
